Tactile: Focus on a tactile sensation, such as the feel of your clothing or the floor beneath you. Taste: If you are eating or drinking, pay attention to the taste in your mouth.This practice can be done anywhere, at any time, and takes only a few seconds. It helps break the momentum of the 'what if' and 'should have' thoughts that can often cloud our minds. By grounding yourself in the present moment, you can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, making everyday tasks more manageable and fulfilling.
Reading Without Pressure
It is essential to approach reading without pressure or the intention to impress others. Reading should be a personal journey of discovery and self-improvement, not a means to gain favor or status. Eastern thought, in particular, values authenticity and inner peace, which are often undermined by the need to conform to societal expectations.
My recommendation is to read what interests you genuinely and follow your curiosity.
