Muslims refer to demons as jinn, creatures with free will that can possess humans. However, they are limited by the will of Allah and can be protected against by seeking His protection through prayer.

However, the power of demons is less than that of Dark Angels or Fallen Angels, which were created by Lucifer. Dark Angels are angel-like beings created by Lucifer after he was cast out of heaven, while Fallen Angels, or demons, are creatures that sided with Lucifer during the rebellion against God. This struggle between good and evil, and the balance of power that exists among these beings, forms a significant part of many religious and mythological stories.
