The Bible: A Misunderstood Legacy and a Call to Action

The Bible, the ancient and holy scriptures that guide millions of people, presents itself as a progressive revelation of God that culminates in the Person of Jesus Christ (the New Testament).

The Old and New Testament: Hidden and Revealed

According to the Bible, the Old Testament is a hidden revelation of the law and the prophets, while the New Testament reveals the final and complete revelation of God. The New Testament complements and expands upon the teachings found in the Old Testament, bringing them to their ultimate fulfillment. Genesis 1, the first book of the Old Testament, begins with the words, 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.' In contrast, the final book of the Bible, Revelation, concludes with the word Amen, which means, 'So let it be.' This book signifies the beginning and the end, the alpha and omega of the Bible.

The Middle Verse of Both Testaments

An interesting fact about the Bible is that the middle verse of both the Old and New Testaments is Psalm 118:8: 'It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.' This verse exemplifies the sanctity and unity of the scriptures.

The Same God, Different Ages

The same God who revealed the Old Testament through the prophets has also revealed Himself in the flesh in the New Testament through Jesus Christ, who is the exact representation of God. As God declares in Hebrews 9:27, 'Ye must be born again!' The earthly life is brief, and death is an inevitable part of the human condition. However, Romans 3:10 and 3:23 underscore the fact that humanity is sinful and falls short of God's glory. Romans 6:23 states, 'For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.'

God's Love and Mercy

The love of God is highlighted in Romans 5:8, which says, 'But God commendeth his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' John 3:16 further emphasizes the love of God, stating, 'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. ' This verse conveys the message that God sent Jesus not to condemn the world, but to save it. Those who believe in Jesus will not be condemned, but those who do not believe are already condemned because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Acts 3:19).

Salvation and Consequences

Salvation is offered through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:25 explains that 'whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past.' Romans 10:9-10 further elaborates on salvation, stating that one must confess and believe in the Lord Jesus to be saved. The final outcome for those who do not accept Jesus is harsh; Revelation 21:8 warns that the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, and idolaters, among others, will face a horrible fate, as they will have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

A Simple Prayer for Salvation

For those who embrace Jesus, a simple prayer of acceptance can set them on the path to salvation. Here is a recommended prayer: 'God, I come before you today a sinner and I admit that I am on my way to Hell. I am sorry for my sins and I desire to turn from them and to ask for your mercy on my soul to save me from my sin. I believe that JESUS came to earth 2000 years ago as the son of GOD and died on the cross and presented his blood to pay the payment for my soul and was buried and rose again showing he has the power to forgive my sins and to give me a home in HEAVEN. Please cover my sin with your blood and give me your righteousness right now!! Thank you for saving my SOUL and help me to live for you.'

However, it is important to remember that if one fails to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they may face unimaginable hardships in the future, especially during the period known as the Tribulation, marked by unimaginable fear, hardship, and the necessity to resist the one-world leader and his government, as well as his mark. Failure to take the mark is crucial, as it will ensure one's place in Hell.

For more understanding and detail, a KJV Bible is recommended to read the scriptures for oneself.
