Reflections on Reading George Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' for the First Time

My first encounter with George Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' was during my teenage years, a pivotal moment in my literary journey.

The idea that families get torn apart by nonsense and marriages are frequently destabilized is a poignant one. Trust, which should be the foundation of any relationship, is often replaced by suspicion. I may not consider myself a connoisseur of dystopian literature, but the genre has undoubtedly shaped my perspective. Many dystopian works serve as cautionary tales, and 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' is no exception. The more plausible the scenario, the more it confirms my pessimistic view of the world. Every time I revisit the book, the themes become more relevant and relatable.
