My Journey as an Unconventional Writer

Writing has always been a form of self-expression for me, but I don't necessarily consider myself a traditional writer. I lack that ability to calm the restless soul of a being with just a few lines of articulate prose. But, I do find solace in the freedom of writing. It's a way for me to collect my thoughts, explore my emotions, and learn about myself.

My writing can be described as inconsistent and sometimes greedy. I am not driven by the passion for writing per se, rather by the desire to connect with others. It's a fun challenge to try and convey my feelings and perspectives in a way that resonates with those on the other side of the screen. However, I do not write to gain followers or validation. I am inconsistent in my writing and my quest for perfection often leads me to feel guilty when I focus more on the number of followers than the quality of the content.

What kind of a writer am I? I suppose I am an emotional writer who writes what I feel, pure and simple. But, I can also be insecure and under-confident. I worry that my writing might lack something, and that no one can truly sense the emotions I experience. This insecurity often leads to me writing something only to forget about it later, only to be surprised by how deep my words can be when I re-read them months or years later.

I write from the perspective of the unknown part of myself, the part that is not visible to the world outside. My writing is sometimes humorous, sometimes depressing, and always a reflection of the person I am trying to become. I often revisit my old writings just to laugh at myself, wondering if I could ever have written something as deep back then.

So, am I a writer? Well, I suppose I have to call myself one because I write. But, is it enough? I am not entirely sure. The journey continues, and I hope one day I will feel mature enough to let go of my expectations and become more consistent in my writing.
