My 2021 Reading List and Discoveries in Mystery and Beyond
I've been a member of Audible, the audio book company owned by Amazon, for over 13 years. In that time, I've downloaded over 400 books. My latest foray into this platform has uncovered a particular author that I find truly captivating: Harlan Coben.
As a mystery/thriller writer, Harlan Coben has caught my interest with his unique style of storytelling. I first delved into his work with The Boy from the Woods, a standalone novel. This was followed by Home, the latest installment in his Myron Bolitar series. Myron is a former basketball player who now works as a sports agent, but his life is far from typical. He often finds himself deep in crime investigations and even more precarious situations. His journey is as thrilling as it is complex, and his best friend, the eccentric Windsor 'Win', adds an extra layer of intrigue to the narrative.
Since then, I've listened to several more of Harlan's standalone works and started from the beginning of his Myron Bolitar and Mickey Bolitar series. I’m currently in the midst of The Final Detail. I plan to continue exploring his rich narrative landscapes throughout the remainder of the year.
