Material Possessions Beyond Money and Emotion: What Makes You Happy?

Material possessions can evoke a myriad of emotions and hold significant value far beyond monetary worth or sentimental attachments. For many, certain items are cherished because of the excitement, joy, and adrenaline they bring into one's life. Others may find solace and inspiration in objects that reflect their personal journeys and accomplishments. This article will explore various examples of material possessions that are meaningful but not necessarily linked to financial gain or emotional attachment.

(album) A Cycle of Passion: My Motosport Journey

One of the most prized possessions that stands out is my Honda CR250 motocross bike. It's incredibly true to say that this bike is more of a cherished possession than my own parents. It evokes a sense of excitement, joy, and adrenaline that is undeniably exhilarating. This passion for motocross is so intense that it can even surpass personal relationships sometimes. Just as love in a relationship can be based on instinct or fear of losing something, passion for a craft, such as motocross, can consume one's existence and define their identity. Athletes and artists often find their world revolves around the craft they love, just like this bike is a crucial part of my life.

Creative Freedom with Makeup

Another item that holds great importance to me is my makeup. While I no longer apply makeup to others, the act of wearing it on myself is a joy. Makeup gives me a sense of freedom, security, and creativity. It’s a form of expression that allows me to explore different personas and feels liberating. Even as a makeup artist, I still find great pleasure in indulging in different shades and textures, making the experience enjoyable and fulfilling.

Memories and Sentimental Value

Some possessions aren't necessarily linked to sentimental value or monetary wealth. They are simply reminders of enjoyable moments in life. For example, I have a large collection of makeup, which, while not used as frequently, still brings back memories of my time as a makeup artist. These items aren't just about nostalgia; they are about the sense of freedom and creativity that makeup provides.

Childhood Emmotion: A Teddy Bear

My teddy bear is an interesting case. Despite the potential for it to come across as childish, I still prefer to sleep with something comforting, and my teddy bear is a perfect partner for this. Although some stuffed animals do hold sentimental value, the sentimental aspect isn't the main reason I use it. Instead, it provides me with a sense of security and comfort in the midst of a busy life.

A Musical Journey: My Keyboard

Another important possession is my keyboard. This instrument has been a constant in my life since childhood. I can't remember a moment when I didn't have a desire to play a musical instrument. The act of learning a new song and finally playing it correctly brings great sense of achievement. This journey with my keyboard has not only provided me with a creative outlet but also a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.

A Merry Christmas Village

Lastly, my small Christmas village brings immense joy. The little shops and people it contains bring me back to the happiness and nostalgia of my childhood at Christmas time. Setting up and looking at the characters, I am transported back to a simpler, more joyful time.

These items, though seemingly simple, each hold a unique place in my life. They are not merely possessions but sources of inspiration, joy, and personal fulfillment. Whether it’s the rush of adrenaline from a motocross bike, the freedom and creativity from makeup, the comfort of a teddy bear, the satisfaction from playing a musical instrument, or the festive joy of a Christmas village, these objects play a significant role in enriching my daily life and personal happiness.
