During these unprecedented times, our world has experienced two major challenges that have had a profound impact on human existence: the pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Amidst these devils' storms, humanity grapples with unprecedented challenges and unforeseen tragedies. Through this poem, we delve into the heart of these crises and the resilience of the human spirit.

Verse One: Stasis in Motion

Whilst the Earth stood still, as the stars spun around,
The moon dipped below an unacceptable sound.
Heaven and Hell joined amidst disbelief,
Stretching for air that remained out of reach.
Infected and poisoned, laid to the ground.
Pandemics still raged as old faiths were found.
Which is obviously what Russia hopes for.

Verse Two: The Rise of Despair

Whilst the lost and the lame amid death counts grew higher,
Disgrace and shame scorched the heart of the fire.
Populist activists, deep in denial,
Caused so many lost lives which returned to the soil.
The war in Ukraine mixed with the pandemic,
A dictator insane whilst the devil stayed lean.
Only the devil and his associates could gain
From human disasters.

Verse Three: A Legacy of Deceit

Scorched with the heat as the truth tells its tale,
Drenched in deceit as metal sand serpents sail.
Mariupol a wasteland amidst dreams of the past.
What the monster attempts he can never force back.
Bodies are buried from the septic wars,
Pandemic and hatred will thrive in the sore.
A plague befitting of the devil's spite.

Verse Four: The Sinister Spin

Under and over, around and within,
Taking a ride on a devilish spin.
Future and past fuse the sin with doubt,
Seven seals being open as the devil rides out.
Famine and war, global warming, and bushfires,
Scorch a world almost lost amidst hatred's desires.
The seventh seal is open and the devil rides out.
