A Love Story at the Bus Stop: A Moment of Courage

The quiet day turned into a moment of unexpected adventure for Lisa at the bus stop. It was a typical morning; she managed to secure herself a 15-minute wait with her heavy bags. But then, a sudden encounter turned her day upside down, and she would never forget it.

The Misunderstood Stalking

Lisa sat on the bench, the sun casting long shadows over the street. She was exhausted from her travel, yet not willing to give up her seat. Then, a voice interrupted her quiet moment - an odd, gentle invitation.

“Do you want me to take stand for you?”

Confused, Lisa looked to her side and realized a stranger had been sitting next to her silently for the past 10 minutes. There was a hint of concern in his tone.

“Are you not able to see that the guy there is stalking you since 10 minutes or the fear I am guessing in your eyes is real?”

Lisa felt a wave of frustration and annoyance. “I’m already late, and I don’t want to create any drama. Besides, I don’t have fear for anything.”

But the stranger wouldn’t let it go. “Someone is following you, idiot. Show your strength and take a stand for yourself.”

The Unexpected Resolution

After a brief moment of hesitation, Lisa turned to her baggages. “You just see me.”

She got up and walked towards the stranger. “Excuse me!”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Are you stalking me?”

“No...”

“Ok…”

“Yeah…”

As they turned around, Lisa suddenly realized someone had taken her baggages for her. A light smile crept onto her face.

“Wow, ma’am. What a strength.”

“Cool, you’re so brave. I thought you would murder that guy.”

“Stop laughing.”

“What if he was really not stalking and what if I misunderstood.”

The stranger handed back her bags, and Lisa got onto the bus, nodding hesitantly as he wished her a safe journey. She couldn’t help but smile, though.

The Truth Revealed

The bus ride was filled with a mix of relief and confusion. As Lisa sat near the window, the bus conductor brought up the earlier incident.

“What’s wrong, ma’am?”

“Bhaiya, he is stalking me.”

“Don’t worry, just sit comfortably; it won’t happen again.”

Lisa then realized the truth. The stranger was indeed the one behind her. She sat quietly, staring into the eyes that had been following her. Closing her eyes, she summoned all her courage.

“Either you stop stalking or there are many people here on the bus.”

As the bus started moving, a light smile found its way to Lisa’s face. She noticed the same man who had been following her, looking more skeptical than ever. This time, she felt a certainty she hadn’t before. She realized, humorously, that he was just a good guy trying to help, and she loved the adventure.

“Love... no, not at all... He was just a good guy.”
